It's almost St. P's Day so I had to choose green, but I also wanted to feature this supercool gun bag I just bought! It seemed like the only common denominator would be "Boondock Saints." Hence the title. My brain is amazing.

I think ruched details can look old style very quickly if you're not careful. But I think this sophisticated pattern def. passed the test! I paired my festive green with good old Leprechaun-approved gold.


On to the main event, this extremely cool gun bag / clutch. Is it really possible for Julie to see such a thing and not own it? I don't think so.


And then, just an easy nude wedge pump just to avoid being too matchy-matchy with the blacks. Someday I wish I could graduate to a fancier nude pump, but my odd feet size (I must be like 7.75) makes it almost impossible to find something that my feet won't pop out of. Oh well. I'll keep looking.

This wonderfully warm and puffy dress is a rental from Le Tote, the Netflix of clothes! I don't remember how I ever lived without this glorious service before. You can safely try out styles that you wouldn't normally be bold enough to buy. You might just find a new style that suits you! You can't imagine how soft this dress is as it drapes all around! It's like wearing a fluffy onesie except it's socially acceptable. Yay!


And as ever, my wondrous Kate Spade bag is keeping me company. The subtle mocha color goes with anything... uahhh I love it so very much. Sorry I never have a pretty manicure because it's always going to get messed up by something (cleaning guns, cleaning car, or making artwork) so there's no point with me. This is my destiny and I must accept it. :(


Also, did you notice my hair is very long today? It's actually a fake hair that you can wrap around even the stubbiest of ponytails! I'd say the quality of this one is pretty good, though I'd try a less curly/puffy one next time. However at their economical price, they're worth exploring during the actual eternity it takes to grow your hair out. T.T

I'm stepping out of my comfort zone today thanks to clothes rental subscription Le Tote and makeup sample subscription Glossybox! I wouldn't normally go for a boxy-shaped python print, but why not try fun things when you can try whatever clothes you want with no commitment?

I asked E, "Don't I look like a person transformed beyond my usual style by the power of Le Tote?"
He said "... you look like a person wearing the pieces of clothes that were in your box."

I guess that dream got shut down quickly and logically.


But, moving on with my dreamy Le Tote frenzy, I also rented this necklace. Don't you utterly heart? I feel it could go with any look.


This cool mod black bracelet was the other piece of jewelry in my box. I'm also wearing this crocodilian ring to complete the reptile-theme. CAN YOU TELL I LOVE THIS SERVICE? I simply can't wait to get my next box! I will write a full review post of my experience with them soon.


I've barely ever worn lipstick even though I'm 30 years old in the world because I've always felt ill at ease applying it. HOWEVER, I fell deadly enchanted with this amazing Lip Tar from September's Glossy Box. It paints super precisely, is hydrating for my skinny wisp of a mouth, and keeps its color amazingly! If my mouth can look the same before and after eating Chipotle, you know the lipstick is a winner.

Just today, I found the key to looking better in lipstick is the shape in which you draw your top lip. It's taken me 30 years to figure that out. Better late than never, I guess.

This was the dress I chose for the swanky Taste of Western event in Oklahoma City. I loooooooove to dress up, but sadly I don't get a chance to go to many fancy events here in Norman. So if ever one comes along, you can be certain I'll seize it to theeee max!


I've never worn a long dress to an evening event before and was dying to try. I shopped online like craze until I found this lilac stunner on Threadflip. It's by H&M... I didn't realize they made fancywear. Anyways, I had credit in my account so I snatched it UP. FOR FREE. That cannot be beaten, frans. Don't you heart the fabric texture?


With such a subdued (colorwise) look, I knew I could carry a more bold purse. This gorgeous thing was a gift from one of my besties in Japan. It's meant to be carried on formal occasions with a kimono! The colors happened to go perfectly with my outfit.


During other more important duties, I often googled "celebrity nude dress" and came up with some inspiring results for jewelry. (I also came up with some results that cannot be shown, I guess because of the word "nude.") But the thing I noticed was that there were quite a few low-on-the-arm-party looks. Not too much jewelry. Just a few fab statement pieces. Hmmmmmm, I like it. That's why the only jewelry I'm wearing are these lovely earrings that I got from F21 eons ago.


 And for shoes, my old faithful companions, these lovelies from Antonio Melani. Comfy as can be for a night of walking and eating and walking and eating some more. I'm sure I was 13 pounds heavier by the end of the night so non-deadly shoes were key.

I can help direct traffic today because my sweater is SO FLUORESCENT! It's a bit blinding, for real. I love the slouchy, comfy style matched with my super-versatile leather look leggings. Can you believe I got them years ago on eBay for $12? They haven't failed me yet and I wear them constantly.


I bought this lovely Tory Burch satchel recently by my magical methods. I'm not the hugest Tory Burch fangirl, but this was one time that I had a case of a very overreactive trigger-finger whilst viewing an eBay auction. The next thing I knew, I was the winner. Oops. Oh well. I love the purse after all!



I went to Dillard's the other  week in search of some perfect black pumps. As I was intently scouring the sale rack, I spied these lovelies shoved away on a bottom shelf. They were just my size! I tried them on in a wild frenzy, asking a random nearby lady if she thought I looked good. (She said yes.) Win! They were Antonio Melanis (so comfortable) on sale for $32!


The heels are acceptably tall so I don't look like a shoe sissy, but low enough that I can do human behaviors like walk. The ankle straps ensure that my feet don't pop out mid-gait, and the double strap ensures that I look totally smashing.
